Since its release “Baahubali – The Conclusion” broke so many box office records that one can confidently say that there are no records left to be broken – only new records to set and milestones to reach. It is now within striking distance of Rs.1500 crores
“Bahubali – The Conclusion” has been breaking records by the day ever since its release. The most notable records are the highest grossing Telugu film, the highest grossing Tamil film, the highest grossing Hindi film, the highest grossing Indian film in the history of Indian Cinema. Now there are no more records worth beating. The film is now treading hitherto un-trodden paths. It already became the first Indian film to cross the Rs.1000 crores gross figure. Now with its collections standing at Rs.1475 crores (gross globally) trade pundits are confident that today – i.e 18h May 2017 – the film will become the first Indian film to gross Rs.1500 crores.
The most astounding aspect of this performance – and indeed the one factor directly responsible for such colossal collections coming in such quick time – is the fact that to this day cinemas all over are running at 75% capacity according to trade analysts. No film ever got such huge crowds even on week days. Normally any film sees the box office swing upward on weekends and then take a severe dip during the week days. But that is not what is happening with “Bahubali – The Conclusion”. Even during week days it is drawing huge crowds all over.
But then this is no ordinary film. This is “Bahubali – The Conclusion”. One wonders if the film is going to cross the Rs.2000 crores milestone too. Only time will tell – shortly. Check out its latest collection position.
