While the film “Baahubali 2” was an epic film in itself, its success at the box office has become yet another epic tale that will be talked about for years to come. The film has grossed Rs.1500 crores adding to the aura that surrounds it.
“Baahubali 2” became the first Indian film ever to gross Rs.1500 crores in the history of Indian Cinema. Now the film has crossed yet another major milestone. It has become the first Indian Cinema to cross Rs.1500 crores in gross collections globally for all the languages that it was released in put together. Any new film sees high collections only during the weekends and then sees a tremendous drop in audience attendance during the week days. But “Baahubali 2” has bucked this trend and has reportedly enjoyed audience attendance of around 75% through the week days as well. It is now observed that repeat viewers are helping the film trod on unmindful of any such commercial trends. This defiance of normal commercial trends has industry observers wonderstruck. They expect that the film may even cross the Rs.2000 crore gross mark globally.
This achievement is indeed a fitting tribute to the director and the star cast as well as the makers of the film.
