Going by the first day’s collections alone it appears that Ilayathalapathi Vijay has a huge blockbuster on hand with “Mersal”. The film has collected an incredible Rs.24 crores in shares worldwide. But the real acid tests lie in the coming days.
Vijay’s latest version hit the screens on 18th October 2017 globally. The film saw a huge release and the audiences responded wonderfully. The film’s collections are the highest opening day figures for the hero and also among the south Indian films it comes just behind “Bahubali 2” and “Khaidi No 150”.
That is an awesome record indeed for the hero. Check out how much the film did in each territory. The only sore note was that the Telugu version could not complete Censor formalities on time and could not be released along with the Tamil version.
