Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s 25th film – reportedly titled “Agnathavasi” – is making stunning the industry with its pre-release business. The latest buzz is that the theatrical rights for the overseas markets have gone for an incredible rate.
It is learnt that the overseas theatrical rights for Power Star’s next film being directed by Trivikram Srinivas has been purchased for an incredible sum of Rs.21 Crores. The rights were jointly purchased by two firms – Blue Sky Cinema and LA Movies. This is the highest that any Telugu film has fetched for its overseas rights not counting “Bahubali”. That is an awesome record now that falls into Pawan Kalyan’s kitty.
The most stunning aspect is that Pawan Kalyan has not had any tremendous success in the past in these markets. He is not even into the US $ 2.00 Million club. “Attarinitiki Daredi” which also saw the same director – hero duo of Trivikram and Pawan working together fetched the highest collections in Pawan’s career with a collection of US $ 1.90 Million.
Earlier Mahesh Babu’s “Bharath Ane Nenu” was acquired for US $ 18.5 million dollars which was a big record in itself. Everybody thought this record will remain intact for a very long time. However, it has been surpassed in a very short time by Pawan.
